FileAI exists because "the AI said so" is not an acceptable answer when the document in question is a contract, a regulation, or a study. We build a workspace where every answer points back to the page it came from.
What we believe
Language models are excellent readers and unreliable narrators. Used carelessly, they answer with confidence whether or not the source material backs them up. Used carefully — grounded in your documents, constrained to cite what they claim — they become the fastest research assistant you've ever worked with.
FileAI is the careful version. Answers draw only from documents you select. Claims carry numbered citations that open the source passage. And when your files don't contain the answer, FileAI tells you that, plainly, instead of improvising.
- Grounded
- Retrieval is scoped to the documents you choose — never the open internet, never other users' files.
- Cited
- Every document-derived claim names its source file, with the retrieved passage one click away.
- Private
- Files live in private, encrypted storage and are not used to train models unless you opt in.
- Deletable
- Removing a document, chat, or account removes the provider copies too. Deletion is a feature, not a promise.
